What is SVYP?

SVYP is a group of young community and business leaders dedicated to improving our community by connecting and developing young professionals. SVYP focuses on providing networking and leadership opportunities for young professionals in Santa Clara and Silicon Valley. SVYP programs include small group networking events, professional development programs and seminars, and quarterly social events designed to connect the up and coming leaders of our area.


Are there any age restrictions to join SVYP?

Anyone age 21 - 45 years old is welcome to join SVYP. We have an age restriction due to the nature of our events and focus on young professionals. If you are outside the age limit, but would still like to be involved with SVYP as a mentor or sponsor, please email Denise Harris or call the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce at 408-244-8244.


How do I become an SVYP member?

Becoming a member is easy! Just fill out the membership form and mail your dues to the following address:

What type of events are hosted by SVYP and how often?

We host several different types of events:

  • Mixers (monthly)
  • Lifestyle events (quarterly)
  • Community events (twice per year)
  • Educational seminars (twice per year)
 

Do I have to be a Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce member to join SVYP?

No. SVYP is a program of the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce, however, SVYP membership and Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce membership are completely separate. Visit the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce website to learn how to become a Chamber member.
